Savannah Solo Trip đŸš¶â€â™€ïž

Savannah Solo Trip đŸš¶â€â™€ïž This was my first time traveling alone—and Savannah is perfect for a 2-3 day solo getaway! It’s small enough to explore easily, but has just enough to keep you busy without feeling overwhelmed ✹. Day 1: Wandering Downtown Squares & Food Hopping I spent my first day walking through every downtown square—they’re all so cute, with little fountains and mossy oaks 🌳! Checked off Collins Quarter for brunch (total win!), then hit River Front and Olde Pink House in the evening. Midday gets pretty hot (not ideal for slow walkers like me 😂), but there are shaded spots everywhere to cool down. Early mornings and after 3 PM are chef’s kiss for exploring—nice and breezy! Collins Quarter’s food was great: the avocado smash (creamy, with a zesty kick) and lavender mocha (sweet, not too floral) were both 10/10 ☕. 🏹 Hotel Rec: The Drayton Hotel Obsessed with this place! It has such a cozy, retro-art vibe—think vintage decor and soft lighting, super Instagram-worthy 📾. They even give you free sparkling wine every day (hello, solo trip luxury đŸ·)! Location can’t be beat: right next to City Hall, and Vic’s by the River is just downstairs. No need to Uber everywhere—total time-saver! Day 2: Trolley Tours, Glass Blowing & Dolphin Watching I wanted to fill my day, so I woke up early for a trolley bus tour—and it was way more fun than I expected! The guide told me so much cool history: Savannah is where Girl Scouts started 🧾, there are tons of “murder houses” (spooky but fascinating đŸ˜±), the famous pink house is 5 years older than the U.S. itself, and the iron railings look so dreamy through the Spanish moss 🌿. Fun fact: Houses with red doors mean the mortgage is paid off—such a cute, proud little detail! In the afternoon, I tried a glass-blowing workshop
eh, it was just okay. Only do this if you have nothing else planned—you can make a tiny trinket, but it’s not super memorable đŸȘž. Evening was the highlight: I went to Tybee Island for dolphin watching! Seeing dolphins pop up to breathe under the sunset was magical 🐬—we spotted so many! Tybee’s beach itself is pretty average, though. My Uber driver said Hilton Head’s beaches are way better—you can even ride bikes on the sand! Maybe next time đŸšČ. Day 3: Churches, Glass Picks & Mrs. Wilkes’ Famous Dinner Started the day visiting a few churches (so elegant, with stunning stained glass â›Ș), then picked up the glass piece I made the day before. Then came the big one: Mrs. Wilkes’ Dinner! This place is legendary—families were lining up for over an hour, and they close early to make sure there’s enough food for the buffet. Since I was alone, I only waited 20 minutes before joining a table with strangers—total luck! The meal was wild in the best way: everyone passed dishes around the table for 5 whole minutes, and there were over 10 Southern dishes to try đŸ„˜. The fried chicken was insane—juicy, slightly salty, perfect. Even the random Southern dishes I couldn’t name were delicious! Such a fun, communal experience—definitely a solo trip highlight. P.S. Leopold’s Ice Cream downtown has a crazy long line. I’m just gonna hit the airport location instead—off to get my ice cream fix after finishing this post 🍩! #savannah#solotrip#SoloTravelVibes#SouthernAdventure
