Savannah Travel Journal 🎄

Savannah Travel Journal 🎄 Went to Savannah right before Christmas! Unfortunately, the weather was overcast those days with cold air 🥶—otherwise, Savannah’s vibe would’ve been perfect for little dresses~ Hope I can come back when it’s warmer! Love the towering trees and parks scattered all over Savannah downtown 🌳. Walking through parks with sunlight filtering through leaves must brighten anyone’s mood~ Forsyth Park is my favorite! Great for photos and wandering. Saw a family of four playing ball on the grass—dad even used the kid as a hoop, and got laughed at by the older sister. Poor little one, dealing with a playful dad 👨👧👦~ Savannah feels unique—the line between tourists and locals is blurry, sometimes you can’t tell them apart because everyone’s so chill~ Stumbled upon a costume party in a park; no idea what the theme was, but it was easy to fit in, such a fun vibe 🎉! Since it was my second visit, I skipped the tour bus, but it’s totally recommended for first-timers! You get to hear lots of city history~ Ghost tours are fun at night too, but winter evenings are too cold, so I passed this time ❄️. The biggest surprise was the prohibition museum, which tells the story of America’s Prohibition era—informative and interesting! For restaurants, most recommended on are great! Except sorry Charlie, which was just so-so 😐. First night was Friday, no reservations, so almost all popular spots were full—only bar seats available. Luckily got a bar seat at The Olde Pink House, and it was way better than expected~ Maybe I’m used to “amazing” recommendations that end up “meh,” but this was a nice surprise! The fried flounder in the photo tasted fresh, the chive dish was good, and The Common’s happy hour was a steal 🦪! Ate at Collins Quarter several days in a row—hardly any misses, go for it! Savannah has that Gone with the Wind beauty come to life. Remember reading the brick-thick book as a kid and watching the 4-hour movie 🎬. Never fully got their passionate love-hate, but thought it was beautiful—Scarlett was stunning. That’s how I feel about Savannah: just want to vacation, laze around, and come back again! #Savannah#TravelDiary
