Savannah 👒
Savannah 👒 Decided to come here for a relaxing weekend on a whim, and it was surprisingly lively! Such a great vibe~ 📸 Check-in List: Chippewa Square (Forrest Gump filming location) 🎬 The iconic bench is gone, but standing in the square still gives that laid-back vibe from the movie~ The Gallery espresso ☕ Tried the iced oat latte, which was nice and refreshing! Forsyth Park 🌳 Happened to catch a market with all kinds of artworks and food stalls—super bustling~ We also ran into a poet who read us an impromptu poem, really lovely ✨ Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist ⛪ A stunning church with white exterior and gold accents, shining in the sun. The interior is just as exquisite~ River Street 🌊 Strolling along the river is so pleasant! We went twice: early morning was quiet but all shops were closed; evening was perfect for watching the sunset, with orange light spilling over the water—gorgeous~ 🚗 Parking Tips: It’s almost impossible to find parking by the river in the evening, and all the one-way streets are easy to get lost on! Better to take a taxi, or head over earlier in the afternoon to find a spot~ 🌊 Tybee Island: You can walk along the beach, but it’s super crowded and the water is a bit murky haha~ Still, as one of the few beaches in Georgia, it’s worth a quick visit! 🦀 The Crab Shack (on Tybee Island): The food is just okay, but portions are huge! There are a few too many small flies, but the decor is unique~ There’s also an alligator pond with over 70 gators—brave souls can check it out 👀 #Savannah#WeekendGetawa#TravelCheckIn
