Screaming Parrots Dessert Cafe in Redmond 🦜🍰

Visited on a Friday night around 8 PM — discovered they have parking in the back garage with validation, so you barely have to brave the rain! ☔🅿️ The cafe is cozy and clean, with a relaxed vibe. Last time, a friend brought me their chocolate Basque cake and bubble tea — the cake was delicious, especially the thick chocolate layer on top! 🍫🧡 But the mango Basque cake looked a bit underwhelming — not much mango in sight 🥭😕 Their "boba" turned out to be popping boba — super sweet and not the classic tapioca pearls. A bit of a letdown — won’t order that again 🙅‍♀️ This time, we tried: Nutella Banana Strawberry Soufflé ($16) Only one small strawberry on top 🍓, and the Nutella whipped cream had a slightly sour aftertaste. The soufflé itself was a bit overcooked and thin — not like the fluffy Japanese-style ones. Not bad, but not memorable either 😅 Crème Brûlée Crepe Huge and heavy! Loaded with caramelized sugar, custard, and banana — tasty but gets rich fast. Best to share between 2–3 people! 🥞👯 Not quite like the famous crepes from Sawtelle in LA, but still a decent treat. For comparison — Cafe Remix in Seattle has more authentic soufflés, but they take forever and parking is a pain. 🚗💨 Final thoughts: A convenient spot with quick service, but there’s room for improvement in flavor and authenticity. Maybe stick to the cakes and skip the drinks and soufflés? 🤷‍♀️ #SeattleLife #SeattleEats #RedmondFood #BellevueEats #DessertCrawl #ScreamingParrots #SouffleReview #FoodieNotes
