SD | The Cave Store 🏖️

📍 1325 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037 Finally visited this iconic spot after seeing it all over social media! 🌊 The entrance is through a coastal shop that leads to a staircase down to a sea cave – over 140 steps to reach the bottom! The path is steep and damp, so staff will remind you to hold the handrail and go slowly 🚧👣. At the end, you’ll find yourself deep inside a cave with a stunning open view of the ocean 🌊🕳️✨. 🕙 Hours: Mon–Sun, 9 AM – 4 PM 💰 Admission: $10 per adult (pay first) 🎓 UCSD students and military may get discounts or free entry – bring ID! 🅿️ Parking by the coast is super tight – better to park farther and walk 🚶‍♀️. Went on a Saturday around 2 PM – had to wait in line for about 30 minutes, but it moved pretty quickly. Each group gets about 10-15 minutes inside (it’s small, so that’s enough time). 📸 Photo tip: Stand slightly to the side of the cave opening – if you stand directly in front, you’ll be totally backlit! ☀️📷 💭 Personal take: On a sunny day, the view from inside the cave looking out is absolutely gorgeous 😍🌤️. But if you’re not super into caves or views, it might not be worth the money. It’s a fun little stop if you’re showing friends around who aren’t from the coast! #SanDiego #WeekendInSD #LaJolla #CaveStore #SeaCave #CaliforniaCoast #TravelTips #SunnySanDiego
