SD Dim Sum|The Stuffed Eggplant is Absolutely Incredible
📍Address: Imperial Mandarin 3904 Convoy St #102, San Diego, CA 92111 🕚Hours: Daily 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM As a Cantonese person living in San Diego, I’ve always wanted to find an authentic dim sum restaurant to satisfy my cravings. I never expected this 40-year-old spot to amaze me so much! 🥰 The restaurant is cozy and has a nostalgic vibe, but as soon as you step inside, you’ll hear familiar Cantonese and Mandarin—it instantly feels like home. Many longtime Chinese residents dine here regularly, which shows how authentic the flavors are! Most of their dim sum is handmade. This time, I ordered the stuffed eggplant and steamed shrimp dumplings, and they were absolutely the highlights of the meal!✨ The stuffed eggplant was pan-fried to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Each bite was filled with savory meat and the natural sweetness of eggplant.🫑 The shrimp dumplings had thin, delicate wrappers and plump, bouncy shrimp filling. Dipping them in a bit of chili sauce made them even more delicious!🦐 In addition to dim sum, they also serve classic Cantonese dishes like white-cut chicken and sweet and sour pork.🍗 The flavors reminded me of home-cooked meals from my childhood. Although the decor is simple, the quality of the food and the warm atmosphere make it a place worth visiting again and again. If you’re missing Cantonese flavors, give this place a try! #SanDiegoEats #SDDimSum #CantoneseCuisine #HandmadeDimSum #OldSchoolVibes #TasteOfHome #FoodieReview
