Seafood Restaurant Chernomorka
This is a seafood restaurant run by Ukrainians, specializing in fresh seafood from the Black Sea. It’s quite rare to find in Slovakia, an inland country. I’m not sure how they source their seafood, but they also sell raw seafood, which I’ve bought a few times. The quality is indeed good, and the prices are reasonable for the area.😀😀😀 They have different promotions on weekdays. We visited on Tuesday, and their special that day was “buy two, get one free” on mussels. The mussels weren’t very large, but the white wine and garlic flavor was excellent, and the bread slices were crispy. With the promotion, it was a great deal and highly recommended.😍😍😍 The salmon with creamy shrimp soup risotto had a very rich seafood flavor. The salmon was medium-rare and tender, but I thought it was a bit too thick and salty. If you order this, it’s best to get a drink to go with it.😻😻😻 Their shrimp pasta is highly recommended. The pasta is cooked in a thick shrimp broth and served with fresh shrimp. Even friends who aren’t big fans of pasta gave it high praise. It’s definitely the dish to try here. The shrimp risotto had a milder flavor compared to the other dishes and wasn’t as salty, which made it very enjoyable. The octopus was fresh and tender, and the garlic soup was very fragrant. However, it was quite expensive. They price it based on the weight before processing, and the final product shrinks a lot. The processing fee is also high. I’d suggest buying the seafood and cooking it yourself at home, which would be more cost-effective. The fried small fish were gutted and lightly breaded, with a crispy texture that went well with drinks. We ordered an extra portion.❤️❤️❤️ The avocado salad had roasted avocados, which I didn’t quite understand the point of. The texture was greasy, and it was paired with some peanuts and nuts. I couldn’t appreciate it. The mackerel cake was fishy and bitter. I’m not sure if it was just bad luck or if that’s how it’s supposed to taste, but I definitely don’t recommend it. Overall, the restaurant offers a wide variety of seafood, and their signature risottos and pasta are truly delicious. However, some of the on-site seafood processing dishes don’t seem very cost-effective. Restaurant: Chernomorka Address: Mýtna 48, 811 07 Staré Mesto #Slovakia #Europe
