Seattle’s Famous Itto’s Tapas 🫨

📍 Itto’s Tapas 💰 Average cost per person after tax: $80 Near Alki Beach, we came to try the renowned tapas. As expected, we waited over an hour during peak dining time and didn’t get to eat until 8 PM (make sure to make a reservation, folks) While waiting, I noticed the bartender was skillfully shaking drinks with both hands, which raised my expectations. Unfortunately, both drinks we ordered were misses. My Taza Throb was a quick sip to a party mask 🎭, and Itto’s Shrub, the daily special, was a bit tart. My sister ordered a passion fruit tequila, and both drinks were quite acidic. For appetizers, the fried potato balls had a slight milky flavor and the crust was just the right thickness – worth a try. The other dish was a sweet almond chicken pie that my sister ordered on a whim. It was crumbly and sweet, but the chicken wasn’t odd as you might expect, and it was quite a surprise when eaten with the almond crumble on top. None of the dishes left a deep impression with a “this is so good” feeling, but they did have some unique qualities. I remember the MVP was the sausage in the paella, which was crispy and chewy but delicious (I prefer my rice hard and crunchy, as they say in Wuxi, “hard and fragrant”). The scallop was just average, and the beef with truffle oil was very rich in flavor, but the meat wasn’t as good as the potatoes.🎭 Honestly, it’s not worth making a special trip for. I still think Tapas Lab is better with more refined dishes. But the ambiance here is indeed quite nice, very much like a European-style bistro. #SeattleRestaurantExploration #SeattleFood #WhatToEatInSeattle #DrinkingDiary #Tapas #ExploringRestaurants
