Seattle’s Hidden Gem: Alki Beach Ferry

💕With a downtown like this and such a beautiful coastline/lakefront, who wouldn’t think of New York and Chicago? Indeed, a city skyline like this must be viewed from the water. Seattle has just the ferry for that. There are many routes departing from the downtown ferry terminal. 💕Bainbridge Island is often recommended, but it’s a nearly hour-long ride on the water. A better choice is to go to Alki Beach, a peninsula on the southwest side of the city. The ferry runs every hour, with a $5 fare, and it only takes 15 minutes to get there. 💕On the ferry, the Seattle city skyline opens up unobstructed, giving you a momentary illusion of Manhattan. It’s the same feeling you get on the boat to the Statue of Liberty in New York. Moreover, on the other side at Alki Beach, there’s actually a replica of the Statue of Liberty, isn’t that a surprise and unexpected! Next to Alki Beach is the community center, with extensive park green spaces, a children’s playground, and tennis courts. On a nice day, take a walk on the beach with the kids, play ball in the park, and you’ve got another comfortable and pleasant holiday. #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleWeekend #SeattleTravel #SeattleTravelGuide
