Seattle’s New American Restaurant FlintCreek Cattle Co
The duck leg was juicy, but the pile of beans was really a bit too much for me. The deer meat appetizer plate had this mix with carrots and all sorts of stuff that was quite appetizing, kind of like a plum flavor. My teeth aren’t the best, so I’ve never been able to chew through the bread at these types of restaurants. 🦆🥦 The pork chop was also juicy with a bit of fat, a very substantial dish. It didn’t have a strong gamy taste, but I still find that the texture of thick pork isn’t as good as a steak. I saw a few posts on Xiaohongshu recommending the potato layered dish, so I ordered it, and it was pretty good. 🐷🥔 Overall, the flavor of the dishes here is just average, not too salty and not very aromatic. The sauce for several dishes seemed repetitive, which makes me suspect the chef might be cutting corners. But the highlight is the tender meat; both the pork chop and the duck leg managed to lock in the juices, and none of the dishes we ordered were bad. Like its sister restaurant Rockcreek, the menu offers a variety of choices that are friendly to those who are indecisive, and the service experience is also comfortable. The restaurant is located on a street corner with nice natural lighting. 🍽️🌞 There’s also a popular coffee shop, coffeeholic, just a block away. You can check it out while you’re at it. The Purple Haze Latte is really good. For those who like ube lattes and treat coffee as a beverage to try, it’s really nice, a bit sweet. If you like Aroom Coffee, you’ll also like this place. They have a lot of trendy options, and they close at 5 PM. ☕🌟 #Seattle #Coffee
