Seattle’s Top French Dining in My Heart - Maximilien
A Seattle staple for French cuisine, hidden like a gem within Pike Place Market, a true hidden gem. You enter from the left side of the fish market, below the large Pike Place Market sign. The restaurant has two levels; I recommend the first level as the second level is a loft with not as nice a view. There’s also an outdoor patio on the first level, where having brunch or a sunset dinner in Seattle’s summer is absolutely delightful. 😊🌅 My favorite main course is the scallops (probably because I already love scallops), they are large and sweet, and the slightly sweet pea puree they’re paired with is to die for. 🦐🥳 The Butternut squash soup is super creamy and the flavor is spot on, but it’s a daily special, so it’s not always available. 🍜🍵 The steak and fries are both good; the steak in the picture is a filet mignon, which is delicious both in terms of the steak itself and the sauce, best enjoyed medium or medium rare. 🥩🍟 The snails are very tender, and I love that they don’t have shells because, you know, French restaurants sometimes reuse those shells, which I’m not a fan of. After eating the snails, continuing to dip bread in the olive oil from the snails is a must. If I didn’t have to worry about my weight, I could finish the plate. 🐌🥖 #FrenchCuisine #SeattleFoodHunting #Seattle #HiddenGemRestaurant #EatDrinkPlay #NorthAmerica #FoodDiary #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleFineDining #GlobalEatingSquad #Cuisine
