Seattle|The Best Value Omakase is Actually Yakitori?!
Beautiful weekend weather called for checking out Seattle's most authentic-looking yakitori spot! Originally wanted to try their Restaurant Week menu—oops, just missed it by a day. 😅 Luckily, they offered a 5-course Omakase (orderable for just one person!), so we got that plus: Yakitori Sampler Monthly Special: Yuzu Octopus Ceviche Wagyu Uni Skewer (a whopping $15, but the uni was fresh!) Surprise discovery? The Omakase was INSANE value! 🤯 1️⃣ Starter Trio – Included the yuzu octopus I ordered separately (refreshing and delicious!). 2️⃣ Generous Salad – Fresh and crisp. 3️⃣ Red Snapper Carpaccio – Drizzled with sesame oil for a unique twist. 4️⃣ Yakitori Platter – Scallop, Wagyu, and grilled pepper—already worth the price, way better than the sampler! 5️⃣ Chirashi Bowl – Small but mighty: crab, ikura, scallops, salmon over perfect sushi rice. Heaven! All this for just $58?! Meanwhile, my à la carte orders totaled over $50, and the sampler was mediocre except for the chicken thigh and Wagyu. Pro tip: Skip the sampler, go Omakase + single skewers! Dessert: Matcha Tiramisu—so good! 🍵✨ Plus, they just opened a Hokkaido milk soft serve stand outside (huge line when we left!). Bonus: Happy Hour daily 4-6PM—3 skewers for $10 (under $5 each) + great drinks (highballs!). Definitely coming back! 📍 Secret Fort #SeattleEats #Yakitori #JapaneseFood #Omakase #WeekendFoodie #SeattleFoodScene #Izakaya #BestValue #MustTry #MatchaLover
