Seattle's First Strawberries
Originally planned to go to Bailey Farm, but on the way, I saw recommendations saying Swan Trail Farms had better strawberries, so we made a last-minute change. đ Strawberries: $4 per pound Currently, only the Sweet Sunrise variety has a decent number of ripe berries, but many are still unripe. Shuksan strawberries are sporadically ripe. Feels like itâs better to wait another week or two for peak season. ⨠Picking Tips: Avoid overly dark purple-red strawberriesâsome are overripe and taste bitter/astringent. Donât pick white ones eitherâtheyâre unripe and flavorless. My final verdict: Better than grocery store strawberries, but not as good as ones from back home. đ Swan Trail Farms 7301 Rivershore Rd, Snohomish, WA 98290 â ď¸ Turn at the intersection before the navigation-led entrance! Look for signsâthe navigation might lead you to the corn-picking entrance, which is currently closed. #Seattle #SeattleDayTrip #Bellevue#Strawberries#fruit
