Finally got to check out the legendary Takai by Kashiba! ✨ I’ve always heard it’s the ultimate benchmark for sushi in Seattle—booked a table two weeks in advance, and it’s absolutely lived up to the hype after today’s feast! 💸 Price & Portions: We went for the Omakase, $160 per person. Dishes came out one by one, exquisitely plated, but the portions were surprisingly generous! I thought it’d just be about the ambiance, but I left totally stuffed by the end. 🐟 Today’s Highlight: The Tuna Feast! So many varieties of tuna, pure bliss! ✅ Negi-Toro (minced fatty tuna,: Melts in your mouth, rich with buttery umami! ✅ Akami (lean tuna,: Firm texture, bursting with fresh, clean flavor. ✅ Chu-Toro (medium fatty tuna & O-Toro (fattiest tuna belly,: Incredibly luscious—those buttery layers just explode on the palate, pure happiness!😭 🍱 Every other dish was equally stunning: Sashimi : Beyond tuna, the Tai (sea bream) was ultra-fresh, sweet and springy! Sushi Set: We even got two sets! Every piece was hand-pressed to perfection. Tempura: Fried fish and shrimp heads were perfectly crisp, zero greasiness—crunchy perfection with every bite!🍤 The flavors were impeccable, and the ingredient freshness is unbeatable.
