Seattle | 🇬🇷 Homer: Refreshing and Healthy Greek Cuisine
Homer is located in the somewhat remote Beacon Hill area, but it's worth the trip! When I arrived before opening time, there was already a long line. On weekends, if you get there after 5:10 p.m., you might as well plan to come back around 6:30 p.m. I learned the hard way—showing up late meant a three-hour wait, which I had to give up on. 😔 The dining style here is all about sharable small plates, with various dips served with freshly baked pita bread from a wood-fired oven. I tried the top three dips: hummus, yogurt, and pistachio. The pistachio dip was my favorite—salty and fragrant, with a tangy kick from pickled onions. It's refreshing and not greasy at all. The hummus was also delicious, but the yogurt dip felt a bit ordinary and a tad heavy. 🥪 Other small plates I'd recommend are the sardines and apple salad. The roasted cabbage, recommended by the server, wasn't quite my cup of tea. For the main course, I had lamb chops, which were tender and quite good, though the belly part was a bit too fatty. For dessert, I tried the soft serve with parsnip and citrus flavors—a nice mix of sweet and tangy. 🍨 Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my meal. I now understand why this place isn't as widely reviewed on social media but is especially popular among locals—it's the epitome of healthy, hearty dining! Next time, I'd love to try the roast chicken and lamb pita. 🍗 Average cost per person: $70 #SeattleFoodie #SeattleEats #GreekCuisine #HealthyEating #SeattleAdventures
