Seattle | 🥣 Food Diary 📝
📍 Von’s 1000 Spirits 🍝🧆 This place gets super crowded after work hours, and the atmosphere is pretty loud. My friend and I came out feeling like we’d strained our voices from shouting 😅. As someone with less-than-great hearing, trying to catch what my friend was saying inside was like— “Ma Dongmei— / Ma what now?” 🤦♂️ The meatballs were really delicious! For pasta, I tried the featured Tellicherry Chicken & Gouda (personally not my favorite)—it tasted a bit bland to me. Their kids’ menu names are hilarious though 😂👶🏻 📍 Nana’s Green Tea 🍵 You can adjust the sweetness level here! They ask how many pumps of syrup you want 🎛️. Even with less ice, they still fill the cup to the top 🧊. Meanwhile, another matcha place in downtown Seattle reduced the drink amount when I asked for less ice 😤… So, getting a full cup with less ice is already a bonus in my book! 📍 Old Wharf Hot Pot 🍲 Having their congee-based hotpot as breakfast is so satisfying 🥣! It’s like a Chinese-style brunch—perfect for filling up before heading home for a nap 😴. 📍 Mox Boarding House 🍛 We got hungry while playing board games and ordered the butter chicken here. Turns out Indian curry isn’t for me—maybe the spices were too strong, as I ended up with a headache afterward 😵. Thankfully, we were playing mindless board games! Their tomato bisque was… really, really not good 😬. It wasn’t even as tasty as the meatball sauce from the first restaurant! 📍 La Fontana Siciliana 🍝 I’ve wanted to try this place for a while, but parking nearby is tough, and there are a lot of unhoused individuals around 😟. This time, we just took an Uber straight to the door. The fountain outside is pretty charming! It was chilly, so we dined indoors 🍽️. Overall, the food was quite good, and the service was friendly—a restaurant worth experiencing at least once! I really enjoyed the risotto—I ordered the Risotto ai Funghi, which suited my taste perfectly. The tiramisu was also delicious! 📍 Olympia Coffee Roasting ☕️ Originally, I wanted to visit another coffee shop, but it was full, so we came here instead. The space is quite spacious, with a nice ambiance. On weekends, it gets crowded and can be hard to find a seat! #SeattleLife #SeattleFood #SeattleExploration #WhatToEatInSeattle #SeattleRestaurants #StudentEats #FoodAndDrinkDiary
