Seattle | Bellevue Arts Museum

☀️Bellevue Arts Museum is a museum dedicated to contemporary visual arts, crafts, and design. Upon our visit, we were informed that only the first and third floors were open to the public. The first floor gallery showcased imaginative works by local young artists, and it was evident from their names and artwork descriptions that most of the authors were of Chinese descent. The third floor displayed works from several modernist artists of the last century, filled with abstract expressions. ☀️On the third floor, we met a volunteer, a lady with white hair and a petite frame, whose parents are from Taiwan. She spoke limited Chinese, and our communication was facilitated through a translation app. Her language was rich with abstract art terminology, which seemed to challenge the translation software. With touching patience and enthusiasm, she tried to help us understand the profound meaning behind the seemingly simple abstractions. Such dedication and passion for art are truly commendable. We are grateful and wish her well! ☀️The museum’s collection may not be extensive, but the aesthetic taste it reflects is in harmony with the impressions gained from the building’s exterior, interior decor, and use of color since arriving in the U.S. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays Admission: $15 per person #OffTheBeatenPath #CityExploration #MyTravelDiary #TravelSnippets #RecorderOfARomanticLife #ItsLiveItsLife #YouHaveToSeeTheWorldToHaveAWorldview #TravelUSA #Seattle #SeattleLife #AroundSeattle #Art
