Seattle | Bizzarro Italian Cafe
This long weekend, my friends and I tried out a bunch of restaurants, and one of them was this charming Italian spot in Wallingford. The decor is super unique and cozy. Let’s dive into the dishes! ✅ Eggplant Parmagiana Spectacular : I was expecting something like the layered eggplant appetizer I had in Italy, but this was actually fried eggplant slices with fresh mozzarella. The tomato sauce underneath was really flavorful. The eggplant was fried but not greasy at all. (Though I still prefer the lasagna-like version!) 🍄 ✅ Sugar Snap Pea Carbonara : My absolute favorite! It’s a Carbonara, but it doesn’t feel heavy or creamy. Instead, it’s quite light and airy. The sugar snap peas added a nice sweetness to the dish. 🥬 🙅 Tiramisu : The portion was huge, but it felt very Americanized. There were only two thin layers of coffee-soaked cake, and the rest seemed more like heavy cream than mascarpone. It tasted like something you’d buy pre-sliced at Safeway. 🥧 Next time, I’d love to try their mushroom pasta. It sounds delicious! #SeattleFood #SeattleEats #SeattleLife #RestaurantRecommendation #SeattleItalianCuisine #HiddenGems
