Seattle | Copine ๐ด is a delicious but whimsical restaurant
๐A restaurant positioned as New American, using traditional French cooking techniques. Each dish was quite enjoyable. But this restaurant is quite whimsical, only open three days a week. ๐Prix Fixe 3-course menu $140 pp You can add a mid-course for an additional โ$12 ๐They started with some appetizers; I loved the green pea soup. Warm, freshly baked bread. ๐For the appetizer, I chose foie gras and shrimp (an additional $18 for foie gras). The shrimp was perfectly textured, and the foie gras was to my taste - not fishy and without a strong cherry sauce flavor. ๐The mid-course was German sausage and ravioli. The sausage had pistachios inside, and the ravioli was paired with pine nuts. ๐For the main course, I chose Halibut and pork tenderloin. The pork tenderloin was wrapped in bacon and was quite flavorful. The Halibut was a small piece but very tender. Both dishes had delicious side dishes. ๐Dessert was burrata cheese and banana cake. Two choices, one sweet and one savory. The cheese was paired with seasonal fruit like Rainier cherries and plums, but it was a bit too rich at the end. The banana cake was served with vanilla ice cream. ๐A very satisfying meal. The right way to start the weekend. #The joy of citywalk is given by food #HiddenGemRestaurant #SeattleFood #WeekendExploration #LocallyRecommended #MyFoodDiary
