Find Things to DoFind The Best Restaurants

Seattle | itsumono, My Personal 🦐 Top Izakaya No. 1

— — I’ve tried the very popular Rondo and Tamari Bar on Capital Hill before, and I think this place is way better, haha. We ordered one appetizer and three main dishes for the two of us, the server said it was too much, but we ended up finishing it all anyway 😂 The appetizer oysters, I didn’t have high expectations for, but their sauce is quite different from American restaurants; it’s added in advance and is more acidic with a slight spicy kick, quite unique. 😂 The main dishes in order were mapo mushrooms - a combination of Mapo tofu and mushroom udon noodles, spicy and a bit too salty, but it didn’t affect the enjoyment much. Salmon ochazuke - a salmon rice bowl with tea, the tea flavor mixed with wasabi, and it was filled with my favorite mushrooms. This dish is best eaten hot, as the flavor seems a bit off when the soup cools down. 😂 Loco moco scotch egg - they made loco moco into a lion’s head shape, wrapped around a soft-boiled egg in the middle, which looks great! The flavor is like the meat sauce of loco moco, and I quite like the aroma. 😂 The interior decoration of the restaurant also has a Japanese style. If you’re coming to eat, it’s advisable to make a reservation! 😂 #Seattle #SeattleFood #SeattleLife #SeattleRestaurantHunting #JapaneseIzakaya
