Seattle | Recommending an African/French Creole Fusion Restaurant
What is Creole? ❓ Creole refers to #European descendants born in colonial areas, blending the culinary characteristics of African, French, as well as Spanish, German, and Mediterranean European cuisines. Creole flavors are rich in spices 🍃, sometimes incorporating coconut and curry, offering both refreshing and spicy options, definitely worth a try. Imagine the comfort food of the American South, like in New Orleans, but with an elevated twist. Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge is located in Queen Anne and is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle that I’ve recently dined at. The decor has a Middle Eastern vibe, and at night, the whole wall is lit with candles 🕯️ for a romantic setting. The menu has nearly a hundred items, so you’ll need to put some thought into your choices. I’ve been to this restaurant twice, and basically, every dish is delicious, with no misses. The French-style mussels are sweet and fresh, the fried tomatoes are crispy, the thick and creamy Jambalaya, and the Shrimp and Andouille Jumbo are also very tasty. Don’t forget to order the Tri Creme Brulee for dessert, along with a pot of French Press coffee. A very satisfying meal. #WesternCuisineExploration# #FoodieCheckIn
