Seattle | The Icy World of Mount Rainier in April
🌟My sojourn in Southeast Asia has come to a temporary close, and I’m delighted to see that the travel guides I wrote are still being favorited and liked by my followers. I hope the information I shared is useful to everyone. 🌟I’m slowly settling into life in Seattle. Each week, I move a few small items into the house, and it’s gradually starting to feel more like home. 🌟This past weekend, I couldn’t contain my curiosity about Mount Rainier any longer, so I decided to take a short road trip. 🌟The drive from downtown Seattle to “Paradise” in the mountains took about 3 hours. I was surprised to see that there was still so much snow in April when we reached the summit. 🌟Walking in the snow was so much fun! Having grown up in the south, I was filled with surprises and excitement. It felt like I had unlocked a “secret base.” We entered the mountain rather late, taking the Nisqually Entrance, which is the only one currently open. The staff at the entrance booth reminded us that the gate to “Paradise” closes at 4 PM, and the exit gate closes at 5 PM. 🌟For those who arrive late, be sure to keep an eye on the time so you don’t get stranded and have to spend the night. We made it down before the gate closed at 5 PM, but it seems they might leave some time for people still on the mountain, perhaps not as strict. 🌟I saw many people with ski gear and snow shoes. I’m already planning to visit REI before my next trip to prepare adequately and explore this icy world. 🌟Regarding the entrance fee: I recommend that friends who will be in the U.S. for a while to buy an annual pass for $80 per person. It unlocks all national parks across the United States. You can purchase it at REI. #MountRainier #WashingtonState #RainierMountain #Seattle #RoadTrip #ExpatLife #NationalPark #USA
