Seattle | Treasure ๐ Wetland Park
๐ About It North Creek Park, located in Mill Creek, adjacent to Bothell, is a vast wetland park. Itโs perfect for locals and visitors looking to relax and take a stroll. I saw many families with children enjoying the park together๏ฝ ๐ฟ Park Activities ๐ถโโ๏ธ Hiking Experience: A floating bridge trail made of wooden planks, about 1.8 miles long, taking roughly 30 minutes to walk round trip. Itโs generally flat and easy, with slight swaying in some areas. ๐ฆ Wildlife Observation: Depending on the season and time, you can observe various plants, birds, insects, and even wildlife like beavers. ๐ Recreational Facilities: The park has a playground for kids to play, as well as a picnic shelter where you can bring food for a picnic or host a gathering. ๐ Why Are Wetlands Important? They act as natural filters. Sewage from urban development or rainwater with sediments is slowly filtered through the soil by gravity when it reaches the wetlands, removing these sediments and pollutants. Without this wetland, polluted water would flow directly into North Creek, harming wildlife like salmon and beavers, as well as our living environment. #NatureWalk #BirdWatching #WetlandPark #SeattleOutdoors #Bothell #SeattleParks #MyHikingDiary #DocumentingARomanticLife
