Seattle Area丨Big Four Ice Caves
🚗 Distance About 1.5 hours drive from Seattle one way. 🏔️ Hiking The round-trip trail is approximately 3.9 km (2.4 miles) with an elevation gain of 93 m (305 ft). The hike takes about 1 hour round trip, but photo time is up to you! ✅ Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times. ✅ Dress in layers: a short-sleeve shirt with a warm jacket. You might feel warm during the hike, but it gets chilly near the cave entrance. ⚠️ The ice caves are melting rapidly. Do not approach the ice walls or enter the caves. Download offline maps in advance. 🚾 Restrooms There are restrooms at the parking lot. They might be a bit smelly but are still better than those in Olympic National Park. Note: There is no water for handwashing, so bring your own if needed. ✈️ Drones The area is managed by Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest (not a national park). Recreational drone flights are allowed but must comply with FAA regulations. 📍 Navigation Ice Caves Trailhead - Big 4 Big Four Mountain Trailhead #BigFourIceCaves #SeattleHiking #PNW #WashingtonState #OutdoorAdventure #HikingTrails #DroneFlying #TravelTips
