Seattle Area Kid-friendly Outing | A Must-Visit for Military Enthusias
🌟Today was our first time taking our little one to this museum. We thought it would be a small museum and didn’t have high expectations, but… the three exhibition halls were packed with planes, tanks, and military equipment, mainly from the World War II era used by the Soviet Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and some from the Korean War period. We looked quite carefully and spent about 2 hours in total, finally buying a Blue Angels plane model from the gift shop before heading home. Opening Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm Admission: $25 per person, children under 7 years old enter free. 🌟Our big brother Henry was firing off a series of “Why” questions as we watched: Are they bad guys? Why? Is this one good? Is that one bad? Why? To be honest, this was his first encounter with the themes of war and peace. I had to quickly summon the little history knowledge I had to state facts. Clearly, at not yet 5 years old, he couldn’t grasp these concepts, and there must have been many more questions floating in his little head. 📕 I’d like to ask other parents how they introduce these topics and world history to their children? Any recommendations for picture books on the subject? #KidOuting #DailyKidOuting #SeattleLife #SeattleWithKids #Museum #Military #MilitaryEnthusiast #MilitaryMuseum #MilitaryPictureBooks
