Seattle Atoma | New American Restaurant

I was recommended this place on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book). The head chef used to be the sous chef at Canlis🧑‍🍳, but I forgot that the taste of Canlis didn’t really leave a deep impression on me. The staff said the menu changes every week, so some of the dishes I was looking forward to didn’t make it to the table. 🍴 The restaurant has a very homey feel (after all, it’s literally in a single-family home). The seats are quite close together, so remember to use code names when gossiping! The service is friendly to introverts; they won’t give you unnecessary glances, but they’ll promptly refill your water and replace your plates. 🌟 Beef Tartare - The beef has a milky flavor with a hint of sweetness, which contrasts nicely with the acidity of the chips. It’s a great appetizer to whet your appetite. 🌟 Kale and Mimolette - This salad is so refreshing! The 🍎 is delicious, and instead of traditional bread crumbs, it’s topped with what seems like crumbled cheese cake base, yum! 🌟 Creme Brulee - The addition of sweet potato and pomegranate seeds makes it more flavorful than the ordinary brulee. The jam’s acidity balances out the sweetness of the caramel and egg. Worth a try. The Rosette cookie was a bit too rich for me, and it left a mess on the table when eating! 🍪🙄 Crumpets - These were very substantial, like a pancake/biscuit. The koji butter didn’t stand out to me. For the main course, we ordered Pork Collar and Lamb Loin. To put it nicely: both were very tender. To be blunt: a bit greasy. The lamb had a slight gamy taste, but the seasoning was actually quite good, the skin was crispy, and it would have been better with a bit less fat in the middle. Overall, there aren’t many dishes, so it’s more suitable for a small gathering of two or three people. For larger groups, there’s less variety in terms of taste. Arrive at the reserved time and you should be fine; if you’re early, you might have to wait on the porch. We had a reservation, but according to their Instagram, walk-ins can also sit at the bar. The last picture is a photo of the interior from their official account, and I’ve also included their Instagram handle. #RestaurantRecommendation #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleFood #SeattleFoodHunt #InviteYourFoodBuddy #EatDrinkPlay #NorthAmericaLife
