Seattle Capitol Hill Food Exploration NUE Nine Countries Cuisine 🥘
On the last day of 2023, I checked out this trendy spot in Capitol Hill with friends that I’d been eyeing on xhs. It’s said to be a fusion of Asian cuisine from nine countries 🍛 and it truly lives up to its name. From the decor to the dish design, there’s a clear mix-and-match vibe. I’m curious about the kind of person who can create such innovative recipes. 🌟 Curry Bread 🐔 - My choice I’ve loved eating deer peach bread 🐔 since I was a kid! Every time I return to Xi’an, it’s a must-eat! Indian curry chicken poured over hollowed-out bread, the bread is a soft and delicate Chinese-style white toast. Drenched in sauce, one bite is incredibly satisfying for a bread lover 🍞. It’s a bit heavy compared to 🦌🍑’s Japanese curry chicken, but I’m already quite pleased that they can replicate this combination. What more could you want? 🚲 🌟 Not Very Chengdu-style Fried Chicken Wings This dish is a real east-meets-west creation. The spicy chicken wings 🌶️ that emit the “aroma” of night market stinky tofu, topped with sweet and spicy sauce, garnished with scallions, coriander, and小米辣, are actually quite tasty. It doesn’t taste like Chengdu’s spicy and numbing, but the combination of Xiaomi pepper and stinky tofu is very Hunan. I strongly suggest the restaurant change “Chengdu” to “Hunan” for more accuracy! 🌟 Steamed Clam / Mussels Seemingly the mildest dish, it cleverly incorporates er jing tiao to elevate the flavor. The mussels are tender and the soup starts off sweet and fresh, followed by a real spicy kick. A dish with great depth of flavor. 🌟 Honey Roasted Spareribs The sweet and savory seasoning is very reminiscent of the familiar taste from back home. 🌟 Fried Pig Ears Usually served cold, this deep-fried version is a first for me. Crispy and enjoyable with the sweet and sour sauce to balance out the greasiness, perfect as a bar snack. 🌟 Corn Bread It’s pretty standard, with corn kernels inside and coconut sprinkled on top. The texture is a bit crumbly, but the taste is 👌🏻 not too sweet. In summary, whether it’s for trying something new or just checking in, this place is definitely worth a try. The prices are really affordable; with all this food, the average cost per person was just $36🔪💣. #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #AtmosphericRestaurant #Cuisine #WhatToEatOnWeekends #GlobalEatingSquad #Seattle #SeattleFood #SeattleFoodExploration #SeattleLife #WantToRecordThisMoment #FoodExploration #Food #SeattleDaily #ExploreTheNew #CheckIn
