Seattle DT | Vietnamese Themed Treehouse Cocktail Bar
It’s rare to find an Asian-style bar in Seattle; the Japanese ones are hard to describe, so it’s nice to see a Vietnamese-inspired cocktail bar. Located in the attic of Pho Bac in downtown, this cocktail bar is tiny and requires queuing on weekend nights. The overall vibe is quite creative; the drinks are pretty good by Seattle standards, and the bar food is delicious. I’ll definitely come back. 🌟Pandan: A tequila-based cocktail with the aroma of pandan, a familiar taste in Southeast Asian desserts. I couldn’t really taste the tequila. My favorite of the day because it’s so unique! 🌟Cooling Water: A lychee-flavored, gin-based sweet drink. It’s pleasant but not very distinctive – perfect for those who don’t like strong alcohol. 🌟Tofu Martini: The ingredients list includes MSG…? And tofu infused/sesame oil infused, but to me, it tasted just like a regular gin martini. 🌟Salted Egg: It actually contains salted egg yolk, based on Japanese whisky with a bit too much smokiness, making it a bit tough to drink. The bar food is all delicious! 🌟Pho Cup Noodles: It’s obvious that it’s the beef pho from Pho Bac downstairs served in a paper cup bowl 🤣 The portion is like a full meal of pho and is quite tasty. 🌟Cua Dip: My favorite of the night, a mix of shrimp and crab meat with shrimp paste cheese, baked and spread on bread – super aromatic and great with drinks. 🌟Ube Cheesecake: Delicious, not too sweet, with a strong ube flavor and the tangy taste of cheesecake. It’s similar to the one I had in Hawaii. Average cost is $50, which is really not expensive. The drinks are pretty good compared to other bars in Seattle, though they can’t compare to New York’s. I’ll probably visit again. 📍Phocific Standard Time #SeattleEats #SeattleBars #SeattleVietnameseFood
