Seattle Fall Foliage Hike 🍁 One Trail with Misty Peaks & Snow-Capped
📍 Heybrook Trail The forecast said rain all weekend, but I woke up to bright sunshine! ☀️ Without a second thought, I dashed to Heybrook Trail – and it turned out to be the most delightful surprise of this fall! A perfect beginner-friendly route (round trip under 2 hours), this trail lets you: Cross babbling streams 💧 Wander through dense forests 🌲 Climb stone steps & even crawl through a tree hollow 🕳️ Reach a wooden lookout tower with sweeping views of Mt. Index, drifting mist, and a dreamy sea of clouds ☁️ The scenery had me in awe the entire way 😍 – giant trees like those in Olympic National Park’s rainforest, crimson maple leaves covering the ground 🍁, and moss-covered fallen logs. The air even smelled sweet! 📌 Trail Tips: ~1.5-hour drive from Seattle 🚗 Limited parking – arrive early! Round trip: ~5 km, 1.5–2 hours Short but steep in parts – trekking poles help 🥾 Water-resistant shoes recommended No Discover Pass needed – it’s FREE! 🎉 Don’t wait – this trail is even more magical in autumn than summer. Every photo looks like a wallpaper! 📸🍂 Go now before winter arrives! #SeattleLife #SeattleHikes #SeattleOutdoors #SeattleTrails #FallHiking #PNWAdventures
