Seattle Food Discovery | A Cozy French Bistro
📍 L’Oursin A French bistro located at the intersection of Cherry Hill and Chinatown, perfect for a weekend evening gathering with family or friends over drinks and conversation. 📝 The menu features sharable small plates that pair wonderfully with drinks, catering to different budgets. The extensive wine list includes charming illustrations on every page. 🌟 St Jacques 💯 Alaskan scallops with a silky texture, accompanied by mussels, lemon gelatin, and celery bits. A delightful sweet and sour combination—absolutely superb! 🌟 Escargots 💓 Roasted snails 🐌 have always been my favorite French dish! Even in Seattle, few restaurants serve them. These were tender and piping hot—each bite was incredibly satisfying ☺️. Don’t forget to use the bread to soak up the garlic-parsley sauce afterward! 🌟 Tartare de Boeuf 💯 My first time trying raw beef mixed with celery, served on toasted bread. The beef was pleasantly chewy with a hint of sweetness and acidity—delicious! 🌚 Terrine de Foie Gras The duck liver was a bit disappointing. On its own, it felt heavy, but spreading it on bread with jam helped balance the richness. I preferred the sweet, toasted bread 🥖 over the liver itself. 🌚 Petite Friture Fried smelt fish—honestly, it didn’t stand out much from regular fish and chips. 🍮 Crème Brûlée A solid, classic dessert—nothing extraordinary, but reliably good. 🍷 Most wines by the glass leaned dry, so we opted for two slightly sweet bubbly options, which were quite enjoyable. #SeattleFood #SeattleEats #SeattleFrenchCuisine #SeattleLife #FrenchBistro #SeattleDaily
