Seattle Food Exploration🍲|A Cozy Chinese Congee Spot with Fried Dough

While crabbing at Golden Gate Park over the weekend, we stumbled upon this congee place just a 3-minute drive away—packed up our gear and headed straight there. The congee did not disappoint! 📍 Secret Congee: 6301 Seaview Ave NW, Seattle. Parking available nearby 🅿️. ⏰ Hours: Daily, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We ordered the Garlic Blue Crab Congee and Classic Chicken Congee, with two orders of fried dough sticks (youtiao) as add-ons. Their Tom Yum Shrimp Congee also looked amazing—you can even customize it with egg drop or century egg. I especially loved the blue crab congee—ginger shreds and scallions gave it a lovely aroma, and dipping the crispy youtiao into the warm porridge was pure comfort. Average cost per person is around $25. ✨ Tips: May get busy on weekend mornings; try coming early or during off-peak hours Portions are generous—sharing one bowl with extra toppings can be plenty They also offer small side dishes and dim sum-style snacks A simple, heartwarming spot perfect for a cozy bowl of congee on a chilly day 🍚💛 #Seattle#Seattlelife#Seattleguide#Seattlefood#Seattlediary
