Stopped by a random small shop to grab a quick bite before shopping at 99 Ranch—and it turned out to be such a nice surprise 🥟! Originally, my teammate and I just wanted to try something new to fill our stomachs before hitting the 99 Ranch supermarket. We saw Mama Dough in Great Wall Mall making dumplings on the spot, so we decided to give it a go. We ordered: 1️⃣ Dual Flavor Pan-Fried Dumplings (Three Delicacies + Pork & Chives) 2️⃣ Lamb Pan-Fried Dumplings 3️⃣ Shrimp Fried Rice First, let’s talk about the pan-fried dumplings—they’re made in a typical Northern Chinese style, with a whole layer of crispy starch crust at the bottom 🔥. It’s fragrant, intact, and not overcooked at all. The filling is perfectly seasoned—not too salty or bland—and every bite bursts with juice 🥟! My teammate and I exchanged a silent nod after the first bite: This is good. Among the dual flavors, I prefer the Three Delicacies one—it’s fresh and not greasy. The Pork & Chives is also solid, no mistakes. The Lamb Pan-Fried Dumplings were ordered by my teammate (I don’t really eat lamb myself), but honestly, they’re better than any lamb dumplings I’ve had elsewhere in Seattle 🐑. They have the distinctive lamb flavor, but it’s not overpowering—totally acceptable. Whether you like it or not still depends on personal taste. The Shrimp Fried Rice isn’t particularly outstanding (it would be better if the rice grains were a bit crispier), but it’s above average overall.
