Seattle Food Recs 😋 (Updated: Last Chance Edition 😭)
Just got the saddest news… Seattle‘s Starbucks Roastery is closing down 😭😭😭. This list just became a “last chance” guide. Eat them while you can! DeLaurenti Food & Wine 🥪 A gem of an Italian grocery & deli right at the entrance of Pike Place Market. I call it the “Seattle version of Alimentari”! 🙃 Must-eat: The Reuben Sandwich—absolutely divine! Packed with melted cheese🧀, tangy sauerkraut🥬, and savory corned beef, all on perfectly grilled bread. Pure comfort. Great spot to also pick up imported pasta and sauces. Starbucks Roastery (Closing Soon!) ☕️💔 A must-visit landmark in Seattle. The interior is like a coffee wonderland with rare beans and cool brewing gear. Yet, I always gravitate towards their Matcha Latte🍵—consistently good, but even better if you ask for less sugar. Go see it before it‘s gone… Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen 🌊 Thai food with a view of the Kirkland waterfront. Great service and, most importantly, incredibly delicious food!🤩 Recs: Som Tum (Papaya Salad) (spicy & refreshing), Grilled Pork Jowl (crispy & tender), Pad Kee Mao with Beef (wok-hei goodness), Tom Yum Goong (authentic & flavorful). Portions are generous! Din Tai Fung 🥢 Visited the University Village location. Pro-tip: Get on the Yelp waitlist at least 1.5 hours BEFORE you go! It‘s always packed.🫡 My Always-Orders: Golden Fried Pork Chop (crispy & juicy) and their famous Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). New Discovery: Their stir-fried rice cakes are surprisingly amazing—chewy and flavorful! Morfire Village Hotpot 🍲 A personal hotpot spot hidden inside Bellevue‘s Asian Family Market. Lots of broth choices and very attentive service. But my secret love is their Signature Beef Noodle Soup!🍜 The beef brisket is fall-apart tender and the portion is huge. The broth is rich and comforting. A perfect bowl for curing homesickness.🥹 #food #Seattle #SeattleFood #ChineseFood #SeattleLife #LifeInUSA #ChineseFoodInUSA #OasisInFoodDesert #FoodDiary #LastChanceEats
