Seattle Food Review | Taste of Chengdu: Authentic Sichuan Flavors
A friend took me here once, and I was blown away by how delicious it was! I never had the chance to visit this Chinatown spot until today—finally made time for a meal! 🍲 Signature Fish Maw Chicken Soup: I always thought Sichuan cuisine was all about spice and numbness 🌶️, but they also serve this nourishing fish maw chicken soup! Perfect for someone like me who isn’t great with spicy food. 🔥 Stir-Fried Tender Beef: This dish has always been my favorite! I order it every time I go to a Sichuan restaurant (because I absolutely love cilantro 😂). Every slice of beef is incredibly tender and flavorful—it’s the ultimate rice companion! 🍚 🌿 Scallion and Sichuan Pepper Chicken: This cold dish is truly unique! It’s my bestie’s absolute favorite. I’ve always been too scared to try it because I can’t handle the "numbing" sensation well, but she insisted: "You can skip anything else, but you MUST order this!" 🥬 Stir-Fried Cabbage with Sichuan Pepper: This dish seems simple, but it’s packed with wok hei (breath of the wok) and the aroma of Sichuan peppercorns. It’s refreshing, not too salty (great for my light palate), and highly recommended! We ordered four dishes for two people—the portions were huge! We were stuffed by the end 🥹 and even had leftovers to take home for dinner. #SeattleFood #SichuanCuisine #TasteOfChengdu #SpicyFood #ChinatownEats#Seattle guide#travel guide#Seattle life#weekend
