Seattle Food Review - Minamoto
A Japanese restaurant located in Bellevue Square, primarily known for its sushi 🍣. The Uni & Foie Gras Toast tastes quite similar to the version served at the izakaya near UW. The freshness of the uni helps balance out some of the richness of the foie gras, making it a nice starter 👍. The Wagyu Sushi and Angus Steak were decent but not exceptional. The meat itself was very tender, though it lacked flavor on its own. Next time I order the Angus, I'll definitely ask for some salt on the side 😆. The Nigiri & Sashimi Combo also featured fresh ingredients and offered a good variety. However, I’d still recommend ordering sushi and sashimi à la carte based on your personal preferences. I particularly enjoyed their eel sushi 😋. I’d suggest trying the King Crab Donabe—the combination of king crab meat and fish roe was a pleasant surprise. Mixed with mushrooms and other ingredients, it made for a warm and satisfying dish 😌. One downside of Japanese cuisine is that it can leave you feeling a bit cold, lacking that “wok hei” warmth, so ordering a hot pot rice dish like this really hits the spot. Overall, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. It’s a bit on the pricey side 💲, but the quality of ingredients and flavors are solid. At the very least, I didn’t feel unwell after eating here 😂. #Seattle#Seattlelife#fooddiary#Seattlefood#Seattleweekend
