Seattle Fremont Seafood Bites
Didn’t want to get ripped off by overpriced Valentine’s Day set menus, so I just found a small place where no reservation was needed. Walked in, ordered at the front, and took a seat. Expected it to be greasy American-style fast-food seafood, but was surprised by some delicious cod and shrimp cakes that were way better than expected. 🌟 Black Cod Kasuzuke The black cod was gently fried with a light sake and sweet flavor. The skin was crispy, and the meat inside was tender. The taste was similar to Kyoto-style grilling but much lighter, a delicately balanced flavor that was delicious. The pickled vegetables and purple rice that came with it were also tasty. 🌟 Shrimp Toast Whole shrimp and shrimp paste mixed together, fried with bread. The outside was crispy and fragrant, while the inside was juicy. Served with salad and lemon, it wasn’t greasy at all. 🌟 Chowder Much thinner than the one at Pike Place, with real clams inside. The texture was amazing, plump and juicy like yellow clams, perfect for a cold day to warm up with, though a bit heavy. 🌟 Rockfish Sandwich Not highly recommended; it’s a regular fried fish fillet with a Vietnamese banh mi style. Compared to the other dishes, it was pretty average. A hearty meal for just $35 per person! #SeattleFood #SeattleFoodExploration #SeattleSeafoodRestaurant
