Seattle German Town: Feeding Reindeer Adventure

🚗 Transportation Took Highway 2 to get there and I-90 on the way back. It’s about a 2.5-3 hour drive from Bellevue. The last hour of the drive had beautiful snow-covered scenery🏔️. Parking was a bit tricky, probably because we went close to Christmas. 🫎 Feeding Reindeer Leavenworth Reindeer Farm, around $40 per person🔪 You need to book in advance; weekends in December are usually booked by early November. The farm has a dedicated parking lot🅿️. You can feed the adult reindeer and pet the little ones😊. The farm is run by three generations of the same family, all very friendly. You can also find Santa Claus for a photo op🧑‍🎄. This was my first time seeing a live turkey🦃. ⚠️ Note: You need to follow the dress code as per the email. No wool as it can make the reindeer uncomfortable, especially with shoes; they check when you enter. 🏠 Town The atmosphere is lovely and very Christmassy. Taking photos under the snow-capped mountains is beautiful. You can explore the town in about 2 hours. 🍗 Yummy Stuff It was too cold to wait in line for the famous pork knuckle, so we went to a restaurant called Colchuck with a good Google rating. Recommend the Sausage Platter – pretty authentic German sausages and the best sauerkraut I’ve had in the U.S.🥺 🐶 Saw a cute Alaskan Malamute in a store; its legs were so short, and the fur felt so soft, like a grey Samoyed, haha. #GermanTownLeavenworth #WeekendGetaway #ChristmasReindeer #SeattleLife
