Seattle Italian Restaurant | Beef Tripe Pasta, What a Surprise ❤️

Came to check out Altura’s sister restaurant, Carrello, which is also an Italian spot. Located in Capitol Hill, parking is a hassle, mostly street parking, though there are quite a few public parking options, but… they’re incredibly expensive. Had to resort to street parking and skillfully executed a parallel parking job 😂. They have a mandatory gratuity policy, but the food is so good that I’m willing to pay. All in all, for two people, it’s about $80-$90 per person. Appetizer: Charcoal Grilled Calamari CHARCOAL GRILLED CALAMARI, this squid 🦑 is stuffed with shrimp and scallops, with a tomato-based sauce, and even includes Chinese-style chili oil, which is genuinely spicy… I can handle mild spice, but this was a bit much for me, haha. However, it was delicious, highly recommended ❤️ Pasta: Agnolotti It’s a type of dumpling filled with a mixture of rabbit, beef, and pork. Added morel mushrooms, and the flavor is similar to a white sauce. Very tasty, a bit salty, but still good, recommended. Pasta: Pappardelle This wide noodle is made with a red sauce base that includes beef tripe and oxtail. Yum! Of the two pastas, this one was even better ❤️, 5-star recommendation 🌟. I love tripe so much, and they prepared it so well, tender and flavorful, it almost had a braised beef feel to it, haha. Main Course: SPRING RAIN FARMS DUCK LEG CONSERVA Ordered the duck leg, which was delicious! Crispy outside and tender inside, paired with potatoes (half-mashed) and beets (my favorite), along with a sweet and sour sauce that was delightful, highly recommended ❤️ Focaccia Bread Probably made in-house, it was baked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a well-aerated interior. The fermentation was spot on, and the taste was superb. The flour seems to have a high protein content, making the bread very chewy and delicious 😋 Dessert We ordered the panna cotta, a tiramisu-style cream jelly with distinct layers, accompanied by crispy ladyfingers. So good! 🌟 Will definitely come back and try to experience the $75 pp menu next time. Ordering à la carte is also great, excellent value for money ❤️ #SeattleFood #SeattleRestaurantHunting #ItalianRestaurant #WeekendDiningOut #Pasta
