Seattle Japanese Cuisine 🍙
A set of mentaiko rice ball and unagi ochazuke Onibaba by Tsukushinbo A great little Japanese spot to try if you’re passing by Not very noticeable in Chinatown, no line on a Sunday evening The menu, as usual, is at the end 🙂 MENTAIKO Spicy Cod Roe Rice Ball $6.5 🌟🌟🌟🌟 How could mentaiko not be delicious? There’s quite a bit inside the ball as well The rice ball has a tight texture It doesn’t feel too salty as long as you don’t bite into the fish roe sauce only OCHAZUKE Tea-soaked Rice $15/$17 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Chose SABA fried mackerel and UNAGI eel flavors Overall, it’s quite good, especially since there aren’t many places in Seattle that serve ochazuke to compare The fish is tender, and the green tea is flavored The seaweed, onion, kimchi, and tofu all complement each other in flavor But the additional $2 for sour plum is completely unnecessary The taste is both sour and salty, not very smooth KARAAGE SALAD Japanese Fried Chicken Salad $17 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This appetizer has a generous portion Four large pieces of chicken on a bed of solid vegetables The chicken is juicy, and the crust is crispy right out of the fryer 🥺 The miso egg yolk sauce salad has a refreshing taste Tomato, onion, edamame, and lettuce make it anything but monotonous UNA TAMA JYU Eel and Soft-boiled Egg Rice Bowl $25 🌟🌟 The DONBURI is somewhat of a letdown compared to the others 😫 Especially since some xhs reviews built up my expectations for it A large portion, but the casual presentation of the rice bowl is evident from the egg’s appearance The overall sauce is too salty, overpowering the natural taste of the eel #Seattle #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleRestaurantHunting #SeattleLife #SeattleFood #SeattleWeekend #SeattleDaily #SeattleDelicious #Seattle #SeattleJapaneseCuisine #TonightDinnerLooksLikeThis
