Seattle Restaurant Week: Itadaki Review (Unfiltered Edition) 🍖💸
TLDR: Not tasty, felt totally ripped off when the bill came, service was lacking... though the ambiance was nice. Let's start with the positives 🌟: The restaurant has great atmosphere with stylish tableware. As a yakiniku spot, the ventilation is excellent – no smoky smell clung to our clothes. Quiet and comfortable, perfect for dates or chatting. Now for the real talk 😥: 🥩 At these prices, you'd expect premium yakiniku, but... The beef tongue was overcooked and tough The rib cube was too chewy and gristly 😭 Short rib had nice texture but was way too salty Only the flap slice was enjoyable The mixed green salad dressing was heavy and unbalanced Scallop & Wagyu sushi was just okay – a bit fishy and greasy (though my friend liked it) The cold udon and rice pot were actually delicious – refreshing yuzu flavor in the udon! Osmanthus lemon mousse was forgettable The much-anticipated sake ice cream was a letdown – weirdly sweet and cloying Cold Brew Coconut Tea was not it... 👎 🧑🍳 Service was stretched thin: Our server was juggling grilling, orders, and clearing – and seemed constantly spaced out. Our drinks arrived halfway through the meal, and he even brought the wrong dish, looking totally lost when we pointed it out. Not the most attentive experience. 💵 With Restaurant Week menu + drinks + upgrades, our total hit $230 for two – and for that price, the experience just wasn’t worth it. Won’t be returning. #SeattleRestaurantWeek #ItadakiSeattle #SeattleEats #SeattleJapanese #Yakiniku #HonestReview #SeattleFoodie
