Seattle SLU’s Must-Try Thai Restaurant‼️

Long time no see, my dears! This summer, your little blogger will be bringing you food reviews from Seattle! (Due to the fatigue from my internship, I’ll try to update one or two posts every weekend.) The first recommendation is a Thai street food restaurant near my company, Bangrak Market! Discovering this place was a complete accident. Originally, I planned to review a Japanese restaurant after visiting the Museum of Pop Culture, but I found mixed reviews on little🍠, so I walked down the street and found this Thai restaurant full of people and fragrant smells! To be honest, it’s so much better than the ones I’ve tried in Berkeley (maybe I was in a rut). Highly recommend spicy food lovers to make a beeline for this place! Their dishes are all hits, but the indoor ventilation isn’t great, and it can get stuffy at noon (especially if you’re having soup). I suggest sitting outside or coming in the evening. 🌶️🍴 Dish recommendations: (All high scores! It’s not an ad, it’s really delicious!) KANA MOO GROB KAO KAPRAO - To truly judge a Thai restaurant, you must try their Thai-style pork rice. The basil, mini chili, green beans, and pork mince are so fragrant, they’re intoxicating. Their chili is seriously spicy; I chose 4/5 and was panting after eating. Those who can’t handle spice, be careful with the heat level you choose. (Pro tip: If you order this dish, make sure to add a runny fried egg🍳.) CRYING TIGER - This charcoal-grilled beef steak🥩 really exceeded my expectations of Thai food. It’s super tender, cooked over real charcoal, and paired with a sweet and spicy sauce. It was gone in two minutes after being served. TOM YUM NAM SAI - My first time having a non-red seafood tom yum soup. I even asked the waiter if they brought the wrong dish when it was served, haha. Don’t judge it by its color; the taste is not inferior at all, and it’s the sourest and spiciest, and warmest one I’ve ever had! It’s a bit hot for summer, but definitely worth a try! PAD KEE MAO - Maybe I’m not a big fan of stir-fried noodles, so my score might be biased towards rice dishes. It’s quite fragrant, and the noodles are soft and glutinous. KAO NEAW MA MUANG - The mango sticky rice is truly exceptional. Usually, it’s served with condensed milk, but they use coconut condensed milk here, which has a sweet flavor with layers. The mango is also very fresh🥭. Two thumbs up! Anyway, everything is delicious, just go for it! #Seattle #SeattleFood #SeattleSLU #SeattleSLUFood #UW #UWFood #FoodNearUW #SeattleWeekend #SeattleFoodExploration #SeattleRestaurantRecommendations
