Seattle Surroundings | Museum of Pop Culture

👉 Ticket prices vary; it’s $28.5 on weekends from 10 AM–5 PM, and the museum is closed on Wednesdays. 👉 This museum has way more stuff than I expected, with lots of different exhibits. It’s been cold lately, and it’s pretty crowded. 👉 The museum also offers various activities and educational programs; you can check them out on the official website. 👉 The Thrill of Horror Film The atmosphere is pretty immersive, and there’s a photobooth where you can capture your fear-stricken face. 👉 Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic This is my favorite exhibit; it showcases props used in movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones. This area has a great vibe and is great for photos. 👉 Infinite Worlds of Science Fiction The science fiction movie exhibit where you can see many familiar movie props. There’s a place that looks like a spaceship where you can take a photo that gets sent to your email, but make sure you start a new session; I entered my email and ended up receiving someone else’s photo. 👉 LAIKA exhibition This is a special exhibit with an additional fee; the special exhibit plus admission is $34.5 in total. It showcases early animation production techniques, and the miniature models are incredibly lifelike. You can pose characters on a green screen background paper to create animations; see pic 8⃣️. 👉 Music Learning Area Here, you can learn to play bass, drums, keyboard, etc., by following tutorials step by step. There are also many small rooms where you can practice undisturbed, but only for 5-10 minutes at a time. 👉 Wild Blue Angel: Hendrix Jimi Hendrix, a musician born in Seattle, is a highly influential electric guitarist in the history of popular music. There’s an exhibit celebrating his birthday this month, where you can learn about his life, works, and influence. His grave is also in Seattle at Greenwood Memorial Park. I’ve seen people leaving flowers for him when I visited before. #Seattle #Seattle #SeattleTravel #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleLife #SeattleWeekend #WhereToGoInSeattleOnTheWeekend #DayTripsFromSeattle #SeattleMuseum
