Seattle ThaiFood Restaurant--Ginger & Scallion
📍 500 NW 65th St, Seattle, WA 98117 ✨Originally came for the Hainanese chicken rice, thinking it would be a light and refreshing option for my recent diet plan. But to my surprise, they no longer serve it! Now they only specialize in Khao Soi, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious! Khao Soi is a Northern Thai curry noodle dish with a rich coconut milk and yellow curry flavor. It features a combination of soft noodles and crispy fried noodles, with a fragrant and spicy broth that’s incredibly addictive! We ordered two bowls: 🩷Beef Tenderloin Khao Soi ($25) The beef was unbelievably tender—it practically melted in my mouth! Not dry at all, and I couldn’t get enough of it. The broth was minimal, giving it a dry noodle effect, but the flavor was intense—perfect for someone like me who loves bold tastes. It was a bit spicy at first, but after a few bites, the heat mellowed. The fried chili in Figure 1 was incredibly fragrant, just like the chili oil from my hometown in Sichuan! 🩷Bone-in Goat Cubes Khao Soi ($19) The goat meat was imported from New Zealand! I’m usually wary of gaminess, but this had none—it was tender, flavorful, and even the bones were delicious! 🩷Thai Iced Tea ($4) Nothing particularly special, but it was not overly sweet or heavy. It paired well with the curry and didn’t leave me feeling jittery. Dessert was the highlight! Thai Tea Tres Leches Cake The cake was dense yet light, with a refreshing tea aroma and just the right amount of sweetness—not cloying at all. #SeattleFood #KhaoSoi #ThaiFood #SeattleEats #SeattleLife#Ginger & Scallion#travel guide
