Seattle Volunteer Park Greenhouse Botanical Garden 🌳🌵

🎫 Adults $6 🪓; Teens (6-17 years old)$4 🪓; Children under 6 free 🆓; Free entry on the first Thursday & Saturday of each month 🆓 (just walk in) I had planned to visit the Volunteer Park Conservatory, which offers free admission today, but looking at the thunderstorm outside the window in the morning, I thought I’d be stuck indoors all day 🙉 To my surprise, it cleared up at noon, and the original plan was back on track 🫡 (though the rain and sunshine kept alternating in the afternoon ♻️) The greenhouse isn’t very large and can be explored quickly, but it does have a variety of plants. There aren’t many descriptions, so you can just immerse yourself in the beauty of the plants and flowers. When the outdoor sunlight shines through the glass walls, it’s naturally breathtakingly beautiful, but even during sudden changes in weather, the soft light combined with the misty vapor inside the greenhouse has its own charm. Volunteer Park, where the greenhouse is located, is one of my favorite parks. I’ve been here several times before, and this time I noticed the autumnal atmosphere was even stronger, with the moist and cool air being very refreshing for the lungs. Also, I finally explored the nearby tower (Water Tower Observation Deck) today. I counted—there are a whopping 107 steps to climb, which is quite a workout hhh. The view from the top is nice, but the protective fences are well-done, and you need to hold your device against the mesh to take photos, which limits the angles. (It feels like the place where the Rapunzel princess would be kept.) #Seattle #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleWeekend #BotanicalGarden #WhereToGoOnTheWeekend #Autumn #DailyMoments #GardenPlants
