Seattle Weekend | Tacoma Zoo + Japanese Garden π§πΈ
Last weekend, I took a spontaneous day trip to Tacoma and it turned out to be so relaxing and refreshing! π§ Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium Polar bears, penguins, and sea otters! π¦¦π The sea otters were especially adorable β swimming and spinning nonstop in the water π. The zoo is filled with greenery, making it shady and pleasant to walk through πΏβοΈ. There are also plenty of play areas for kids β very family-friendly! πΈ Japanese Garden Located right next to the zoo, this garden is small but incredibly peaceful π―β¨. It features a calm pond, a classic bridge, and beautiful light filtering through the trees β perfect for photos πΈπ³. ποΈ Bonus Surprise: Views of Mt. Rainier! On the drive to Tacoma β and even from higher spots near the zoo β you can see the majestic Mt. Rainier in the distance π»π. Thereβs something magical about seeing snow-capped mountains in the summer! β Helpful Tips: π ΏοΈ Free parking at the zoo β try to arrive early! ποΈ Tickets are around $24 β buy online in advance to save time π³ After the zoo, head to Tacoma Downtown for food. Over Easy serves great brunch! π₯β π Wear a light-colored dress or a straw hat for photos β it matches the vibe perfectly! ππ€οΈ A perfect blend of nature, animals, and serenity β highly recommend for a weekend recharge! π #Seattle #SeattleWeekend #Tacoma #PointDefianceZoo #JapaneseGarden #FamilyTravel #TravelWashington #PNWLife #SummerVibes #MountRainier
