Seattle Weekend | Tacoma Zoo + Japanese Garden 🐧🌸

Last weekend, I took a spontaneous day trip to Tacoma and it turned out to be so relaxing and refreshing! 🐧 Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium Polar bears, penguins, and sea otters! 🦦💙 The sea otters were especially adorable — swimming and spinning nonstop in the water 🌀. The zoo is filled with greenery, making it shady and pleasant to walk through 🌿☀️. There are also plenty of play areas for kids — very family-friendly! 🌸 Japanese Garden Located right next to the zoo, this garden is small but incredibly peaceful 🏯✨. It features a calm pond, a classic bridge, and beautiful light filtering through the trees — perfect for photos 📸🌳. 🏔️ Bonus Surprise: Views of Mt. Rainier! On the drive to Tacoma — and even from higher spots near the zoo — you can see the majestic Mt. Rainier in the distance 🗻💙. There’s something magical about seeing snow-capped mountains in the summer! ✅ Helpful Tips: 🅿️ Free parking at the zoo — try to arrive early! 🎟️ Tickets are around $24 — buy online in advance to save time 🍳 After the zoo, head to Tacoma Downtown for food.
