Second Visit to Aerlume

Seattle’s New American Creative Cuisine by the Sea A very chill little restaurant with an open kitchen and a great view. Saw several couples celebrating anniversaries, and there’s also a room for hosting small wedding ceremonies. 😍🎉 Appetizers 1️⃣ Treasure Crab Salad A refreshing acidic salad. I’ve been eating a lot of arugula lately and gradually falling in love with it. Lots of crab meat, radish with apple cider and crispy almonds. Yum! 🦀🥗 2️⃣ Grilled Octopus The octopus is very bouncy, with yuzu sauce grilled cauliflower and small potatoes. 🐙🥕 Main Courses 1️⃣ Pork Shank Surprisingly delicious, the meat is tender and soft. It seems to be stewed first and then roasted for a crispy crust. Bean salad with the versatile arugula again, and the sweet potato puree received the complaint “I wish it was just roasted sweet potatoes instead.” 🐷🥔 2️⃣ Black Cod Slightly less impressive than the other two main courses, but the white wine and smoked hazelnuts with slightly spicy spinach make it quite special. Although I know it’s different, it looks like the Chilean sea bass from Costco, which is even better! 🐟🍽️ 3️⃣ Sea Scallops Super chewy and the seasoning is also great. The scallops are placed on top of rectangular corn porridge, then a spicy and sour sauce. The side dish is a root vegetable with a texture similar to water chestnut/potato. 🦐🥘 The mocktail is also pretty good, like lavender and rose soda. 🥤🌹 #Seattle #SeattleFood #aerlume
