Second Visit to Osteria La Baia ⭐

Saw its 4.8 rating on Google Maps, and the ambiance looked great, so I booked it for a birthday dinner 🎂🍽️. Arrived at 7 PM just as happy hour was ending, so the entrance was packed—but inside it was still quiet and the atmosphere was lovely 💫. 🍽️ Caviar The fruit jam pairing was refreshing, but the caviar flavor wasn’t strong enough—it got overpowered by the fried cheese. 🍡 Meatball Very hearty and tender, but not as bouncy as the beef balls you’d find at dim sum. 🐟 Tuna Tartar Good but not mind-blowing—still a solid choice though! 🍝 Olive Oil Garlic Pasta This might just be my ultimate life pasta 🥹! Topped with crispy garlic bits, it felt like every clam was crunchy too. The sauce was rich and flavorful—buttery, fragrant with olive oil and garlic, and infused with the seafood essence of the clams… Absolutely divine! 😍 🥩 Ribeye Steak This is officially my life steak 🔥!! Better than any steakhouse like Peter Luger! The crust was incredibly crispy, while the inside was cooked perfectly to medium—juicy and bursting with flavor, especially the fatty parts. The portion was huge, though, and the price wasn’t cheap—maybe not ideal for small eaters. 🍚 Risotto Super rich!! The black truffle was balanced perfectly. A tad salty, but so delicious it’s easy to overlook. 🍫 Ferrero Mousse A daily special—a mousse cake made with Ferrero chocolate, served with ice cream. Too sweet for those who don’t have a sweet tooth 🍯. And since it wasn’t on the menu, we didn’t know the price until the end—$30 😱 Definitely not worth it! Never order off-menu items without knowing the price first! Three of us shared two appetizers and three mains—just the right amount. Price came to around $120 per person 💸. Also, they don’t have ketchup—the side of roasted potatoes only comes with salt 😄🧂. #NYCFood #NYCEats #ItalianRestaurant #OsteriaLaBaia #MustTryNYC #FoodReview #PastaLover
