Seeking the Home of the Little Prince in France 🇫🇷

A Trip to Four French Cities (Paris/Lyon/Marseille/Nice)☀️☀️ Lyon is the only place I want to share with everyone, simply because its slow pace feels so comforting 😌. It’s a pity we stayed there for less than 24 hours, but it’s definitely a place worth revisiting 🙌🏻. - 🚄 You can take a direct train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Lyon (tickets are available on the 📱 Ouigo app). The train is quite clean too. - 🏨 For accommodation in Lyon, we chose a youth hostel (an all-female 6-bed dorm). It cost 57 pounds for two people. 🌸🌸We arrived at the hostel around 9 PM, and since it was located on a hill, we took the chance to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the entire city of Lyon. (Daylight saving time is great— it was still bright after 9 PM!) - 🍕 For dinner, we went downhill to an Italian restaurant called La Piazzetta. It was quite late, so not many nearby shops were open, but the food was surprisingly good and the portions were huge.👣 Two of us couldn’t finish it all, and since the hostel had no storage facilities, we had to sadly leave the leftovers (there was still a queue even after 9 PM 😭).🌈🌈 📍 11 Pl. Benoît Crepu, 69005 Lyon - ⛪️ We headed to our first attraction, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, around 8 AM. Even the details exude luxury, and it features typical Byzantine and Medieval architectural styles. 📍 8 Pl. de Fourvière, 69005 Lyon - 🎭 Walking down from the basilica, you’ll see the Ancient Roman Theatre, one of the oldest buildings in France. - 🌹 Mural: "Fresque des Lyonnaise" (The Mural of Lyonnais Personalities). The entire wall depicts 30 famous figures from Lyon, with detailed introductions nearby. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (the "Old Prince") and the Little Prince are located at the top-right corner of the third floor.🌴🌴 📍 2 Rue de la Martinière, 69001 Lyon - 👑 Little Prince Gift Shop: It was closed when we visited— remember to check the opening hours in advance! 📍 6 Rue Saint-Jean - 🍚 For lunch, we had Taiwanese cuisine at Ben‘s Bowl. We ordered their signature Braised Pork Rice and Salt & Pepper Chicken Rice, both of which were delicious 😋. 📍 9 Rue Claudia, 69002 Lyon, France Lyon is truly perfect for a citywalk!!
