Sharing a High-Value Hidden Gem Restaurant in San Diego šŸ½ļø

This is a modern restaurant perfect for dates, and it’s also a highly acclaimed upscale spot. The ambiance is elegant yet unpretentious, making it suitable for dates, birthday celebrations, or business dinners—the atmosphere is simply comfortable. The menu focuses on American-French fusion cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. Thanks to its consistently high-quality offerings and elegant vibe, it has become one of the benchmarks for fine dining in San Diego. This time, since my American Express card offered credits for this quarter and this restaurant was included, I just had to check it out! šŸ“ Our first appetizer was raw oysters—small, incredibly fresh, and served with two sauces mixed together. They were super flavorful and unforgettable! Even the lemon was wrapped in gauze—such a thoughtful detail! The second dish was Lobster Ravioli, a first for me—super large dumplings filled with lobster, and they were pretty good! The third dish was Mixed Seafood, featuring three different types of fish: Ahi, Salmon, and Sea Bass, each with its own trio of sauces. The fish was pan-seared to a perfect crispy exterior while remaining tender inside—a must-order for fish lovers! The fourth dish was roasted duck, which didn’t quite measure up to the innovative roasted duck I tried at Juniper and Ivy before, so you might want to try something else instead. For example, their signature dishes like Herb-Crusted Lamb Chops (crispy outside, juicy inside), Pan-Seared Scallops (paired with citrus butter sauce for a tangy, refreshing taste), or Wild Mushroom Risotto (rich in mushroom flavor with perfectly chewy rice) are all worth trying. For dessert, the Sea Salt Caramel CrĆØme BrĆ»lĆ©e is a no-brainer—absolutely delicious! The wine list also features a wide selection of high-quality wines from San Diego, offering excellent value when paired with the dishes. šŸ· The servers here are super professional and attentive—they’ll help take photos šŸ“·, recommend dishes and wines, and ensure a smooth dining experience. Before the meal, they brought out bread, which you can request unlimited refills of, and they frequently cleared the table. If you’re celebrating a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday, they’ll even bring out a complimentary cake šŸ° and special pig-shaped cookies, adding a lovely touch of ceremony! The overall ambiance of the restaurant is modern and upscale, with a unique twist. The walls are adorned with murals of pigs šŸ– and geese 🦢, along with matching decorations—so special! In terms of value, it’s quite reasonable for an upscale restaurant. These four dishes cost less than $100 per person. So, if you’re celebrating a special occasion and care about both flavor and ceremony, this is definitely the place to go! Just remember to dress up in a beautiful dress, enjoy a lovely meal, and take some gorgeous photos! 🤩 šŸ’”: Reservations are recommended. Closed on Mondays. šŸ : 514 Via De La Valle UNIT 100, Solana Beach, CA 92075 #SanDiego #SanDiegoFood #Sandiego #SanDiegoFoodExploration #SandiegoFoodDiscovery #SanDiegoEatPlay #UCSD #SanDiegoTravel #SanDiegoWeekends #SanDiegoLife
