Sharing an Absolutely Stunning Hiking Route in the Tatra Mountains

June is here, and it's once again the perfect season for hiking in Europe! In my last post, I shared my experience of climbing Mt. Gerlach, the highest peak in Slovakia. Some friends asked for more relaxed and easier routes, so here are my recommendations. The views are just as stunning as those from the summit! (Map included at the end)😻😻😻 🚗 Transportation Starting from Poprad-Tatry Airport, you can rent a car or take a Bolt taxi to Vysoké Tatry Tatranska Lomnica Train Station. From here, you can either take the cable car or hike up the mountain.😍😍 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Leisurely Hiking I highly recommend the very famous lake, Skalnaté pleso. It's incredibly beautiful, and the cable car takes you right there, making it a perfect spot for a family-friendly outing. There are many leisurely hiking trails around this area, and the scenery is even better than what you see in Google Maps photos. We were even joined by a little fox who seemed to be guiding us, which was such a delightful surprise! It would walk a few steps and then look back at us, as if leading the way, but it moved too quickly, so we eventually had to give up following it.😀😀😀 You can also continue up the mountain by cable car from the lake. It's colder and windier up there, and the cable car wait times are longer, so we didn't go further. But I'm sure the views are amazing! There are many hiking trails in this area. You can check them out on the AllTrails app, which provides detailed information on duration, distance, elevation gain, difficulty level, and more. The routes are very accurate, so you won't get lost as long as you follow the app. 🗺️ Route The last image is a map of the High Tatras. The two starred locations in the bottom left and right corners are the train stations mentioned in my previous post and earlier in this text. On the left is Vysoké Tatry Štrbské Pleso (which has more accommodation options nearby), and on the right is Tatranska Lomnica. The train ride between these two stations takes just over an hour, and both offer fantastic hiking trails. Definitely worth exploring! #HikingAroundTheWorld #EasyHikingRoutes #OutdoorHiking #NatureHiking
